It's good, but there is another problem, there is no option in it to set the aspect ratio to TV. It did scale the image as much as possible vertically while keeping the IMAGE aspect ration in fullscreen. It was kind of you to answer.ĮDIT: I went and download Jnes to see if it can do what I want and voila. It can be done in all famous emulators for other systems (ZSNES, Snes9x, Fusion).īut, still, thanks. I think there should be a better approach in dealing with these black borders without losing a portion of the game image itself. I did that, but unfortunately that's not what I'm looking for, because it cuts off the image itself along the borders on top and bottom of the screen. It won't work if someone set the "Max" in windowed mode and then switch to fullscreen mode.Ĭlick to expand.Hi, thank you for your answer. One should be in fullscreen mode and hit "Esc" and when the menu bar appeared in the top, go to "View" -> "Screen Size" and check "Max" and "TV Aspect" in order to make the image scale as much as possible vertically. A friend over nesdev forums guide me how to do it. That's why I came here.ĮDIT: Problem solved. Anyhow, is there a way to omit top and bottom black borders while still keeping the correct Aspect Ratio? Can someone help me?īTW, I wanted to post this in their forum, but it seems their forum is down or something and I can't access it. I myself think that it's trying to maintain an even multiple of the original resolution, but I could be wrong. Shouldn't it scale the image as much possible while maintaining the correct TV aspect Ratio? And yes I did checked "TV Aspect" under "View -> Screen Size" (well, that's actually irrelevant to this matter). ![]() Everything is kool and the emulator is top notch, but there is a little problem that keeps bugging me when I go Fullscreen, there are black borders on top and bottom of the screen. Well, I just wanted to play some of my childhood NES games, so I got this great emulator, Nestopia of their page. Top and Bottom Black Border in Fullscreen
